Salem-Keizer Meals on Wheels is a private 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. As such, we do not collect government funding/ subsidies. Therefore, the financial support we receive from the community is essential to our ongoing success.
We welcome financial gifts to help us continue and develop the quality of services to seniors and disabled adults. Donations may be made by check, credit card, electronic funds transfer or through transfer of appreciated stock.

Although our clients are asked to pay a fee of $3.00 per meal, it currently costs the program $4.25 to provide each meal we serve. The difference between what is asked of our clients and the actual cost of services is made up entirely by donations. Donations are also used to underwrite our Sponsorship Program which provides over 500 meals a month to low income clients who would otherwise go without.
Salem-Keizer Meals on Wheels is supported by client fees, donations from individuals, churches, businesses and corporations, clubs and organizations, private agencies, and by fund-raising events such as our Annual Spring Auction. Your gift helps to ensure the ongoing support of Salem-Keizer Meal on Wheels to seniors and disabled adults in our community who depend upon our meals and services to maintain their independence and freedom from the risks of malnutrition and hunger. And your donation is tax deductible.
